• Bracelet of Time: Complete the Story mode under the 2nd Climax difficulty with a "Gold" or higher rank in all chapters. It can be purchased for 200,000 Halos from The Gates of Hell. Have at least four Magic Orbs filled and use it to allow Bayonetta to use Witch Time without restrictions. However, she cannot activate it during normal dodges.
• Climax Brace: Get 50 Umbran Tears of Blood. It can be purchased for 500,000 Halos from The Gates of Hell. It allows unlimited magic power, which in turn allows your character to have unlimited Umbran Climax.
• Climax Brace II: Complete Story mode under the 2nd Climax difficulty setting with a "Platinum" rank. It can be purchased for 500,000 Halos from The Gates of Hell. It allows you to trade defense for additional power with Wicked Weave.
• Eternal Testimony: Get 25 Umbran Tears of Blood. It can be purchased for 500,000 Halos from The Gates of Hell. Each time your Magic is depleted, you will completely fill two Magic Orbs. This will allow you to reach Umbran Climax quickly.

The following costumes are unlocked by purchasing Super Mario 64-2 or Super Mario 64. They also add various abilities in addition to changing your appearance.

• Mushroom Kingdom Princess and Sarasaland Princess: Allows you to summon the power of Bowser; Halos and Orbs become coins.
• Hyrule Costume: Allows you to parry enemy attacks without Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa; plays music from Zelda series when chests are opened; Halos and Orbs become rupees; Shuraba becomes Link's Master Sword.
• Galatic Bounty Hunter: Panther Within transformed into Samus's Morph Ball, allowing you to give Light damage to enemies; double-jump changed into Screw Attacks; gun attacks becomes into Samus' Classic Arm Cannon.

• Angelic Hymn #2: After defeating the hammer-wielding angel, return to the cathedral entrance to find an Angelic Hymn. Collect it to get Kafka.

Chapter 4 "The Two Meet"

• Angelic Hymn #3a: Defeat Fidelity.
• Angelic Hymn #3b: Drop down into the Slanted Tower then search the eastern area. Collect both pieces to get Undine.

Chapter 5 "The Cathedral of Cascades"

• Angelic Hymn #4a: Dive into the water at the start of the chapter, then swim to the western shore. Destroy the resting place to collect it.
• Angelic Hymn #4b: Complete Verse #7, then go to the western side. Enter the door to find it. Collect both pieces to get Chernobog.

Chapter 8 "An Ancient Civilization"

• Angelic Hymn #5a: Defeat Allegiance.
• Angelic Hymn #5b: Complete Verse #7 but do not enter the portal. Instead, go to the back of it and search the resting place.

Chapter 9 "The Gates of Hell"

• Angelic Hymn #5c: Complete Verse #6, then drop on the platforms to see it in the distance. Collect all three pieces to get Takemikazuchi.

Chapter 10 "The Depths"

• Angelic Hymn #6a: At the start of the chapter, climb the rocks on the eastern side. Move along the rocks, fight some Greeds, then collect the Angelic Hymn piece.
• Angelic Hymn #6b: Defeat Resentment, then search the path on the eastern side to see it in the distance.
• Angelic Hymn #6c: Defeat Pain, then destroy the resting place. Collecting all three pieces to get Salamandra.

Special

• Super Mario 64 Angelic Hymn: Complete all chapters under the 3rd Climax difficulty setting. Collect it to get Chain Chomp.

Returning the lost record to Rodin allows you to gain a new weapon.

While the Wii U doesn't have a system analogous to Achievements on Xbox 360 or Trophies on PlayStation 3, both of which the original Bayonetta appeared on and took advantage of, there is an in-game list of "Bewitchments" the player can obtain by completing certain tasks, effectively functioning the same way. There are thirty in all.

Search the indicated locations to obtain a Broken Moon Pearl. Broken Moon Pearls can also be purchased from The Gates of Hell. Combine two Broken Moon Pearls to create a complete Moon Pearl which increases your maximum magic.

Chapter 1 "Noatun, the City of Genesis"

• Go to the large staircase and climb to the upper level to collect a Broken Moon Pearl from an Umbran Resting Place.
• Complete Verse #3.
• At the very end of Verse #8, move past the Muspelheim and open up the treasure chest resting on a thin ledge.

Chapter 2 "A Remembrance of Time"

• Complete Verse #1.

Chapter 4 "The Two Meet"

• Complete Verse #4 to find and complete an Umbran Witch Resting Place.

Chapter 5 "The Cathedral of Cascades"

• Complete Verse #3.
• Complete Verse #5.

Chapter 8 "An Ancient Civilization"

• Complete Verse #5, then go through the large doors.
• Repair and activate the Witch Walk Portal, then break the violet object hidden among the blue ones. You must be flying to find the violet object.
• Complete Verse #10.

Chapter 9 "The Gates of Hell"

• At the end of Verse #2, find and complete the Umbran Witch Resting Place near the staircase.

Chapter 10 "The Depths"

• At the end of Verse #8, backtrack and go to the vine where you entered. Once reaching the exit, move over to the right side and open the treasure chest.

Chapter 13 "Vigrid, City of of Dj Vu"

• At the end of Verse #7, search the room containing a large amount of treasure, including a treasure chest containing a Broken Moon Pearl.

Chapter 14 "The Witch Hunts"

• Complete Verse #2 then climb the stairs behind you. Turn right to find a treasure chest.
• Complete Verse #3.

Chapter 16 "Sovereign Power"

• Complete Verse #3.

Search the indicated locations to obtain a Broken Witch Heart. They can also be purchased from The Gates of Hell. Combine four Broken Witch Hearts to create a complete Witch Heart which increases your maximum health.

• Complete Verse #1.
• Complete Verse #1, then go in the water and open the treasure chest in the left corner.
• Complete Verse #2, then go straight instead of taking the path to the right.
• From The Cascade Foregrounds, travel left to find an Umbran Resting Place with a Broken Witch Heart.
• Complete Verse #5.
• Complete Verse #8.
• Move further inside the church at the end of Verse #9, then check the second cubicle on the left.
• Complete Verse #12.
• At the start, move to the left from the large staircase then drop down. Go through the small opening in the wall. Pass through the water and to find the Broken Witch Heart at the end.
• From where Verse #2 begins, remain on the left side and squeeze through the small opening on the left. Then open the treasure chest across the water.

Chapter 2 "A Remembrance of Time"

• At the end of Verse #1, jump into the water and follow the underground tunnel.
• Complete Verse #9.

Chapter 4 "The Two Meet"

• At the start of the chapter, move to the left side follow the path to find a treasure chest.
• Complete Verse #4.

Chapter 5 "The Cathedral of Cascades"

• After the cinematic that appears after rescuing Loki, look to the left side of the platform.
• Complete Verse #2.
• Complete Verse #3, then go to the upper level and move through the water. Exit the square room and look for a treasure chest at the outer edge of the area.
• Complete Verse #8.

Chapter 7 "The Ark"

• Complete Verse #4.

Chapter 8 "An Ancient Civilization"

• At the end of Verse #1, climb up the broken staircase then jump on the platform on the left side. Then, find the treasure chest on the upper level.
• Complete Verse #2.
• During Verse #11, Loki will create a portal. Go through it and find the treasure chest on the balcony.
• Complete Verse #12.
• At the end of Verse #14, repair the Witch Walk Portal and go through it. Then, to break a red object on the left side.

Chapter 9 "The Gates of Hell"

• Complete Verse #3.

Chapter 10 "The Depths"

• Complete Verse #1.
• At the end of Verse #4 you will find a huge column with a heart in the middle.
• Complete Verse #9.
• Complete Verse #11.
• Complete the Umbran Witch Resting Place found during Verse #11.

Chapter 13 "Vigrid, City of of Dj Vu"

• When the chapter starts, move straight through the long alleyway and open the doors ahead. After entering the new area, move to the balcony on the left side. The heart is near The Gates of Hell.
• The heart that starts Verse #1 is found at the end of the long alleyway before going outside.
• Complete Verse #2.
• At the end of Verse #9, go past The Gates of Hell and climb the stairs to find a treasure chest.
• Complete Verse #13 and continue climbing the falling statues to find a treasure chest.
• Complete Verse #11.

Chapter 14 "The Witch Hunts"

• When the chapter begins, find the treasure chest on the left side.

Chapter 15 "Truth"

• During Verse #8, eliminate all enemies without touching the ground.
• At the end of Verse #8 complete the Umbran Witch Resting Place.

Chapter 16 "Sovereign Power"

• When Bayonetta and Balder land on The Sacred Mountain Fimbulventr, immediately break open the treasure chest on the left side.

Complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding character.

Balder: Defeat Balder's Verse Card in Tag Climax mode.

Jeanne: Complete the game.

Rodin: Defeat Rodin's Verse Card in Tag Climax mode.

Rosa: Complete the game under the 3rd Climax difficulty.

Hold Down for a few seconds during game play or during cinematics to move the visor on Samus' costume.

• Purchase Crow Within, Gaze of Despair, and Selene’s Light from The Gates of Hell. Collect Mida's Testament from a chest found at the east side at the start of Chapter 10. Use Crow Within to fly over the gap to reach the chest. Exit and start the chapter again to farm at least twenty Mida's Testaments. Equip Mida's Testament to your item slot and Gaze of Despair and Selene's Light to your accessory slot. Start Chapter 14 under the 2nd Climax difficulty or higher. Use Mida's Testament in all Verses to keep your combo as long as possible and use Umbran Climax. Ignore the hits while keeping the combos as long as possible. Repeat the process to accumulate Halos.
• This trick requires Jeanne, purchasing the Gaze of Despair 000 from the Gates of Hell, and obtaining the Bracelet of Time by completing the game under the 2nd Climax or higher difficulty setting with least a "Gold" rank on all chapters. Equip Gaze of Despair and Bracelet of Time to Jeanne then start Chapter 14. Use Mida's Testament to increase your magic. Activate the Bracelet of Time just before your attack hits your opponent and only use PPP combos.
