The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

Complete the "The Way of the Voice" quest and you will be approached randomly by two cultists. Kill them then search the bodies for Cultists' Orders. Read it, then travel to the Windhelm Docks and speak with Gjalund Salt-Sage to take a boat to Solstheim. Note: You will need to persuade, intimidate, or bribe him with 500 gold. After arriving at Raven Rock, you will earn "Outlander".

• You can only adopt two children, and you must have a home with children's beds to adopt them. Grelod the Kind is the headmistress of the Honorhall Orphanage in Riften but does not want a child to be adopted. She must be killed after first visiting Aventus Arentino in Windhelm, who is trying to perform the Black Sacrament. His house is on the east side of Windhelm, and is parallel to the main road. To adopt the children, just speak with them. Note: Aventus Arentino cannot be adopted.
• With the Hearthfire DLC, there are four additional children you can potentially adopt.

• Lucia: A child that wanders the streets of Whiterun. She can usually be found around the Gildergreen during the day. To get the adoption option for her, donate one Septim to her.
• Sophia: A flowergirl in the streets of Windhelm. She can usually be found by the gates near the docks during the day, or sleeping in Niranye's courtyard at night. In get adoption option, purchase something from her.
• Alesan: A boy in Dawnstar. During the day he can be found in the city running from mine to mine. At night he sleeps against the wall on the Windpeak Inn.
• Blaise: A boy in Solitude. He can be found at Katla's farm.

Raven Rock is the capital of the island Solstheim. It is possible to get Severin Manor during the "Served Cold" quest.

This is earned as part of the main quest of the Mage Guild, which starts at the College of Winterhold.

Ten of the following thirty three side quests will qualify for "Sideways".

Eastmartch

Ancestral Worship: Granted by Golldir at Hillgrund's Tomb.

The White Phial: Granted by Nurelion at the Windhelm apothecary shop.

Repairing the Phial: Complete "The White Phial" and "The Throat of the World" quests and a courier will arrive with a letter.

Rise in the East: Granted by Orthus Endario in Windhelm (East Empire Company office).

A Love Beyond Death: Automatically starts halfway through the Ansilvund Excavation.

Blood on the Ice: Visit Windhelm around midnight and travel to the graveyard. You will be approached by a guard that grants the quest.

Haffingar

Lights Out!: Speak with Jaree-Ra in Solitude.

Tending the Flames: Granted by Viarmo at the Bard's College in Solitude.

The Man Who Cried Wolf: Speak with Falk Firebeard, the Jarl's steward in Solitude (Blue Palace).

The Wolf Queen Awakened: Finish "The Man Who Cried Wolf" quest and you will receive a letter from a courier.

Hjaalmarch

Laid to Rest: Speak with Jonna, Morthal's inkeeper, who will tell you about a burned-down house located nearby.

The Pale

A Scroll for Anska: Granted by Anska when entering High Gate Ruins.

Silenced Tongues: Granted upon reading Heddic's Volunruud Notes just within Volunruud.

The Pale Lady: Granted at Frostmere Crypt either by speaking with Eisa Blackthorn or reading her journal.

The Reach

Evil in Waiting: Granted by Valdar after entering Valthume.

The Forsworn Conspiracy: Arrive at Markarth and witness the attack, then read the letter Eitrys gives you.

No One Escapes Cidhna Mine: Complete "The Forsworn Conspiracy" quest.

The Heart of Dibella: Granted by Degaine in Markarth, who will ask you to steal a statue.

The Lost Expedition: Read Alethius's Notes at the end of the Nchuand-Zel Excavation Site (within Understone Keep in Markarth).

The Rift

Infiltration: Granted by Stalleo at a campsite outside Treva's Watch.

Kyne's Sacred Trials: Granted by Froki Whetted-Blade at Froki's Shack.

Promises to Keep: Granted by Louis Letrush at the Bee and Barb in Riften.

Repentance: Enter Darklight Tower.

Siege on the Dragon Cult: Granted by Captain Valmir in Forelhost's courtyard.

The Book of Love: Granted when you ask for the Blessing of Mara at the Temple of Mara in Riften.

Unfathomable Depths: Granted by From-Deepest-Fathoms in Windhelm, who is wandering the docks.

Whiterun

In My Time of Need: Granted by the Alik'r warriors inside the Whiterun gate after completing the "Dragon Rising" quest.

Missing in Action: Granted by Fralia Gray-Mane at her stall just outside The Bannered Mare. She will tell you about her missing son.

The Blessings of Nature: Speak to the innkeeper at The Bannered Mare about rumors. You will then be directed to speak with Danica Pure-Spring. Note: You can also approach Danica directly in the Temple of Kynareth or around Whiterun.

The Golden Claw: Enter the Riverwood Trader, witness the argument, then speak to Lucan Valerius.

Miscellaneous

A Return To Your Roots: Read Sinderion's Field Journal (located in his field laboratory in Blackreach) or pick a Crimson Nirnroot.

Forbidden Legend: Read the book "Lost Legends" or a Writ of Sealing at any burial location.

Rising at Dawn: After you become a vampire, speak with any bartender in Skyrim to hear a rumor about Falion in Morthal.

Even with a low Speech skill, this can be earned during "The Forsworn Conspiracy" quest line. Each of the following three individuals encountered can be persuaded, intimidated, and bribed. Make sure to perform one of each type.

• Kleppr the innkeeper, when seeking entry to Margret's room (or Margret directly if you saved her when entering Markarth).
• Garvey in the Warrens.
• Rhiada at the Treasury House.

During the Dragonborn's adventure in Soul Cairn, they will defeat the undead dragon, Durnehviir. He is later encountered again and teaches the shout called "Summon Durnehviir" to the Dragonborn. The first three times Durnehviir is summoned, he teaches the Dragonborn the words of Soul Tear, one at a time. Note: Dragon souls still must be spent to unlock the shout.

Stalhrim is a new ore from the Dragonborn DLC, and can be found at Solstheim isle. A ship can bring you there from Windhelm. Stalhrim armor and weapons cannot be forged until the quest "A New Source of Stalhrim", obtained at the Skaal Village, is completed. The Ebony Smithing perk is also required to craft Stalhrim items.

Search the indicated location to find the corresponding Standing Stone .

1. The Warrior Stone: Combat skills +20% faster.

2. The Thief Stone: Stealth skills +20% faster.

3. The Mage Stone: Magic skills +20% faster.

4. The Lover Stone: All skills +15% faster.

5. The Apprentice Stone: Recover Magicka twice as fast; twice as vulnerable to Magicka damage.

6. The Atronach Stone: 50 extra Magicka points, 50% Absorb spells, -50% Magicka regen.

7. The Lady Stone: Regenerate Health and Stamina +25% faster.

8. The Lord Stone: 50 points of damage resistance, +25% magic resistance.

9. The Ritual Stone: Raises all the dead around you to fight for you once per day.

10. The Serpent Stone: Paralyze the target for 5 seconds and do 25 points of poison damage once per day.

11. The Shadow Stone: Invisibility for 60 seconds once per day.

12. The Steed Stone: Carry weight +100, equipped armor has no weight and causes no movement penalty.

13. The Tower Stone: Unlock any Expert level lock (or lower) once per day.
