When you defeat a Gold Skulltula, you gain an illustration piece. When a certain number of illustration pieces are obtained, the apothecary in the bazaar levels up, allowing you to purchase new temporary effects and granting you the use of more potent potions. Each type of potion restores more health and special gauge than the previous. There are five illustrations, and collecting all of the pieces to one and completing it will unlock a special "Rewards Map" stage in Adventure Mode with very unique conditions. There are 100 illustration pieces, and thus 100 Gold Skulltulas, in total.
Completing Legend Mode for the first time will unlock a new difficulty mode, and will also allow new Gold Skulltulas with more difficult spawn conditions to appear.
In the Temple of Souls stage: If you head to the northernmost area of this map and observe the fountain, you will find that the fountain heads which are spitting out water are King Zora from Ocarina of Time.
There are 25 unlockable medals that serve as achievements in this game. They can be viewed in the Gallery.
In the Legend Mode mission The Water Temple, after encountering Fake Zelda inside the Water Temple King Dodongo is summoned to attack your allies. At this point Darunia and Ruto appear to fight the monster, telling you to stay where you are and finish the mission while they take care of it. Once this happens, don't finish the mission and instead go to where King Dodongo is to see that rather than the usual yellow Dodongo that appears everywhere else in the game, this mission (and only this mission) uses the black-scaled version with large crystals on its shoulders, which appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
If you wait long enough on the Hyrule Warriors title screen, after about three minutes it will play the storyline setup for this game. That is not what we want, so skip it. After 3 more minutes, a remade version of the original Legend of Zelda Title screen will appear, along with its music. It will then play the intro from Zelda 1. Enjoy!
