How to Survive

This requires the El Diablo Islands DLC. Craft the electric gun with a Harpoon Grip, Tesla Coil, Big Fork and a Hardware Box. You will also need an Electric Jacket that is created by combining a Bulletproof Jacket, Big Fork, Tesla Coil and Fuses. Wear the Electric Jacket with the Electric Weapon equipped and get hit by lightning during a storm. The weapon will charge, without harming you.

Equip a bow or gun and use incendiary arrows or ammo doused with gasoline or explosives. Get the attention of a group of zombies and start running. Try to get them in a line. Once they are in the correct position, shoot them with the incendiary arrow or explosive round.

While attacking a zombie, it will sometimes get stunned. When this happens, press F to get an instant kill. Repeat the process as many times as needed.

As you progress, you will begin seeing zombie deer, which will charge directly at you. Line up other zombies in between, and the zombie deer will run them down to get to you. Repeat the process until the zombie deer kill twenty zombies.

An instant kill equates to a finishing move. Simply press [Instant Kill] when the message appears. Attack a zombie a few times to get the opportunity to instant kill it. You will gain more experience when performing instant kills in place of regular kills.

This is earned during normal progression, after escaping the first island. Talk to Ramon and he will send you to find gasoline. You can find gasoline for the boat at the village on the first island. When you return to Ramon, you will see another survivor, Kovac, on the map. He will be your mentor. You can find his guide pages around the islands. Go north over the beach to find him and his boat. Use the boat to earn "Discoverer I".

Note: This requires the El Diablo islands DLC. Craft the electric gun after collecting a Harpoon Grip, Tesla Coil, Big Fork and Hardware. Then, use it to kill 500 zombies with electricity. You can also add an Amplifier to increase the power of the gun but decrease the number of targets it can hit. Adding a capacitor will decrease the power of gun but increase the number of targets it can hit. Kite at least eight zombies behind you then use the gun to kill them.

Volcanologist zombies are dressed in hazard suits in the El Diablo Islands DLC. Shoot them in the face three times so they fall over and explode.

"God of Rain" is earned as a reward from a bonus quest given after completing the main story of the El Diablo Islands DLC. Collect ten electric devices around the El Diablo islands. They will be found in the sheds and safehouses, and also be given as a reward by completing the hidden monkey quests in the DLC.

After leveling up, open the "Character" menu. Scroll through the menu until you reach the "Skill" menu. Spend your first skill point to expand your skill tree to a few different paths.
