Metal Slug 3

To turn back from a zombie to a human, use the Med-Kititem found in enemies or boxes. To turn back from a mummy to ahuman, find the bottle of Holy Water found in enemies or boxes.

  PlayStation3   PlayStation4   Vita  Select the desired character, immediately quit, then select that character again. Repeat this 100 times. Then, on your final time, do not quit. Instead, hug the left side at the start of the mission face to the right and toss a grenade.

  PlayStation3   PlayStation4   Vita  After destroying the copters in the second mission, go down the slope and face to the left to find a cave with a sign reading "ICEMAN". Shoot the ice to open the entrance, then press [Down] to kneel and crouch towards it. If you do not do this, you will instead go up the slope. Inside the cave are snow monsters that will turn you into a snowman with their breath.

  PlayStation3   PlayStation4   Vita  Select the Easy difficulty setting and play mission 1. Save all POWs on your way to the split in the path, which is indicated after they say ""Thank you". You should have rescued three POWs (including the girl) by the time the path splits. When reaching the split where the submarine is below and the crab people are below, follow the uppe rpath to save two more POWs. When the path splits again, with a ship below and an upper path, select the lower path to the ship. Save seven POWs there (one on the ship, and six dangling above you). When you reach the SV, shoot him until he stops tossing fireballs and instead fires large black rockets from his second cannon. When this happens, stop shooting and hug the right side. A POW will occasionally appear that you can save. A maximum of ten POWs will appear at this location. After no more POWs appear, continue and complete the level. You can usually get a total of 21 or 22 POWs saved per run. Repeat the process to build the overall number of POWs saved.

Throughout the game you will find a wooden crate containinga monkey wielding a gun who will help you fight enemies. Note:Do not rely on the monkey helping all the time. Sometimes he willstop to pick his nose and do other things.

Near the beginning of the first stage, you will seea submarine floating in a pool of water. Hold Down to walkinto this area and hop into the sub to go to an underwater partof the stage. The next hidden area is at the part where the boatis located. Instead of getting on it, hop onto the ledge aboveit to find a secret hatch. Go inside to enter a cave-like partof the stage. Note: Every time you complete a secret area, youwill go directly to the Crab Boss --- you cannot go in both hiddenareas during the same turn.

In the stage with the zombies, you can get the veryhelpful Thunder Cloud. Around the middle of the level, you willsee a spot on a low area of ground where two prisoners are nextto a man in a business suit. Hold Down/Forward to crawldown to this area and save them. Note: Enemies cannot get youdown here. When you rescue the man in the suit, he will pull outa cell phone and call over two bodyguards with suitcases whichcontain a gold coin and the Thunder Cloud. To use it, just shootyour gun when the cloud hovers over an enemy.

The level containing the zombies has a secret and uniquearea. About the end of the middle part of the level, you willsee a sign above a frozen-shut cave reading "ICEMAN".Walk to the left to go over here and shoot the ice wall blockingthe entrance. Inside are numerous "ice men" and at theend of the cave is a buried Elephant Slug, frozen in the groundwhich you can free and ride.

2ND MISSION MASTER (Bronze): Complete Mission 2 with no continue.

4TH MISSION MASTER (Bronze): Complete Mission 4 with no continue.

FINAL MISSION MASTER (Bronze): Complete Final Mission with no continue.

MISSION ALL COMPLETED (Bronze): Complete all the missions.

POINT HUNTER (Bronze): Achieve over 3,000,000 points.

SLUG MASTER (Bronze): Ride all the Slugs.

METAL SLUG ATTACK (Bronze): Defeat any boss in the game with the METAL SLUG ATTACK.

ELEPHANT RESURRECTION (Bronze): Reach the icy cave's exit with the Elephant Slug.

ZOMBIE MASTER (Silver): Clear Mission 2 as a zombie.

ROUTE MASTER (Silver): Play all the routes.

HERE COMES HYAKUTARO ICHIMONJI! (Gold): Find and save Hyakutaro Ichimonji.
