Cheat Codes/Hints

Become invisible

In battle, get all of your team members KO-ed except for Nei. Then get Nei to cast Nasak and she should KO herself. Then, your characters will turn invisible and you can walk around dungeons freely.
(This works in all version of PS2)

Equip armor glitch

It is possible to have armor equipped even if it is not in your possession...first make sure you have at least two pieces of armor in a characters possession..

1. Go to the equip screen and highlight the armor you want to keep equipped.

2. This is the tricky part...equip/unequip the armor...when it says ".....takes armor" press a confirm button and then QUICKLY press down to the next armor below it and equip/unequip that armor. You need to do it
fast enough so that you see only a little change in the attack, defense, and/or agility from changing equipment.

3. You'll know if the glitch worked because you won't be able to unequip the first piece of armor. Now you can give the armor to another character! Who says you can't have powerful equipment like the NEIMET on just one character?

To cancel the glitch, simply equip another piece of armor over the affected armor slot.

It may take a few tries to get the glitch working because the equipping/unequipping must be done very quickly.

Make the game scroll one frame at a time.

When paused, press C and one frame should go by.

No Random Attacks

While moving, press C to bring up the control panel and B to close it again. Better yet, if you have a turbo controller set the A button to rapid-fire and hold it down while walking.

No random encounters

When examining the nearby area with the A (Talk, Examine) button, the next step you take is guaranteed not to take you into a battle. Keep hitting the A button (Talk, Examine) while you walk, so that after every step it will say ''There seems to be nothing unusual here.'' No random encounters will happen, but it will take quite a while to maneuver through dungeons this way.

Playing Tip For Final Dungeon

In the final dungeon called Noah you can use Kain, the wreckers, magic against the enemies even though they are NOT mechanical. Normally Kain can NOT use his magic against biological creatures, but in Noah he can use all of his magic. This makes defeating the bosses Dark Force and Mother Brain much easier because Kain can use his magic NaGaj which does 150 damage. Therefore the best way to defeat Dark Force and Mother Brain is as follows:

Rolf: Megid followed by NeiSword when you run out of magic.

Rudo: NeiShot.

Kain: NaGaj followed by Lac Maces if you run out of magic (But you shouldn't run out, Kain usually has enough magic to last the whole battle).

Anna, Amy, or Hugh: Your choice. Have them use Star Mists to heal everyone. Plus they can attack if you do not need to be healed that turn.

Power Boosts

Every character has "power boost" levels, in which his or her stats (such as HP or Agility) raise dramatically (sometimes 20 or more!) To ensure the highest attributes for each character, save the game before a character raises to a "power boost" level. Because the numbers his/her attributes increase by are random, reset the game if you aren't happy with the new statistics.
Here is a list of the "power boost" levels for each character.

Rolf: every 4 levels
Nei: every 8 levels
Rudo: every 3 levels
Amy: every 6 levels
Hugh: every 6 levels
Anna: every 8 levels
Kain: every 7 levels
Shir: every 6 levels

Resurrect Nei

Even though Nei will be killed while fighting Neifirst, it is possible to bring her back to life while the three remaining characters are fighting. Before going to Climatrol have Shir steal some Moon Dew. Give it to one of the characters, except Nei. After Nei is killed, and during the fight with Neifirst, use the Moon Dew to bring her back to life.

Slow Motion

While traveling the countryside, pause the game by hitting START and holding B>. While B is held, you'll move around normally but in slow motion.

Switch game music

This trick allows you to have different music play in other areas, using the slow motion code. First, you go to the area that has the music you want, like the weapons shop for instance. Next, press start and hold B. The game will move in slow motion with no sound, so you can still move. Now, then go to another place and let go of B, then press Start. The music from the place where you first pressed B and Start now plays in this area! Cool glitch!
