Twisted Metal: Head-On

Whenever a gray meter appears at the bottom of yourscreen, it indicates that you can charge up the weapon you haveselected in your arsenal. Hold L to charge for as longas desired, and release it to unleash the weapon. However whenthe bar fills completely red, you must release L or theweapon will backfire and not go anywhere. For example, Axel'sEMP special move will have an increasingly larger blast radiusthe longer you hold L, but will be useless if you over-charge.Note: The gray meter will only appear after you've received thesixth "Special Weapons" upgrade by defeating enemies.

The following codes are entered during game play in single player mode. They have no effect in multi-player or online modes. To disable a code, repeat it. Codes will not be disabled until you do re enter them. Therefore, you do not need to re enter them when in story mode.

These must be entered during gameplay.

Enter these codes in-game to perform the corresponding attack.
Freeze Attack - Freezes closest opponent
Rear Attack - Fires selected weapon backwards
Flak Attack - Intercepts and destroys any incoming missile and will knock back enemies that are in close player proximity
Napalm Attack - Adds a napalm projectile to any weapon fired (does not work with specials)

In game

Start a story mode with Dark Tooth. Once you are onCousin Eddy, it is easier than your first fight with him. Takingout the ATVs is no problem. Just shoot your regular gun the entiretime. Do not worry about missing, because the shots lock on. Whenyou are actually fighting Cousin Eddy, do not worry about takingthe time to hit all the hillbillies. Instead, use Dark Tooth'sspecial. It will grab Cousin Eddy and take one or two hillbilliesout. Repeat this until you have killed all of his hillbillies.You will then see Eddy's health bar. From here, use your special(if you still it), and it will send Eddy flying. Then, shoot yourregular gun. It will take out half of his health. Repeat thisuntil he is blown to pieces. However, if you did not have a specialafter killing his hillbillies, take him down to half of his healthbar with missiles, napalm, ricochet, etc. By the time half ofhis bar is gone, you should have a special. Use it to defeat him.

Use the following trick to defeat Cousin Eddy even if you arenot Dark Tooth. When you must start hitting the top enemy to finishhim off, just freeze him by pressing Up, Down, Up.Then, use Napalm weapon to hit the top enemy.

During the last level against Tower Tooth, all thatyou have to do to defeat him is drive around and pick up powermissiles until you cannot hold any more. Then, drive up one ofthe stair ramps that takes you to the raised platform around thebuildings. Park your car facing the ledge. When Tower Tooth arrives,he will sit directly in front of the ledge and attack you. Facedirectly at him and keep shooting him with power missiles repeatedly.When your health gets low, set down a remote bomb. Detonate itbefore Tower Tooth has a chance to get away but not so soon thatyou are also next to it. Drive around until you have full healthagain. The white "+" on your mini map represents afull health pickup. Gather more power missiles if needed and repeatthe process as many times as desired. If you are away from TowerTooth too long he will regain health.

In the Paris level, use the teleporter that leads to the top of the eiffel tower, than lead a remote bomb near one of the beams at the top, jump off, and use it! This will destroy the tower and allow access to some buildings and weapons!

In the Tokyo Streets level, goto the big red Tokyo Tower. Use a remote control bomb on the side of the tower. It'll blow up the tower. Blowing up the tower will leave a bridge, connecting to the dojo (behind the teleporter on ground level). At the dojo is health and other weapons.

Be careful not to use the freeze attack on someonewho is already frozen. If you do, your freeze bomb will bounceoff the enemy and come back directly to you, freezing yourselfon impact.
