Although your commander is a tank that is able to soak up a lot of damage and easily defeat most opponents they should never be left too vulnerable because if your commander is defeated it is an instant game over. The best tactic for a commander is to let them lead the charge and draw enemy fire so your more fragile units can swoop in for the kill.
