Character's seventh color.: Complete Story mode with the desired character.

Character's eighth color: Complete Arcade mode with the desired character.

Character's ninth color: Play 25 versus matches.

Some characters have alternate voices that can be used in battle. At the character select screen, select the character by holding down an attack button for 1 second. Alternatively, open the color palette select screen by selecting the character using the options button and then press up or down. The character's name will change color and there will be an audio cue. This does not work in Story Mode, Tutorials, Trials, or Challenges where you cannot select your own character.

In 2nd Encore a new extra added to Skullgirls is the art gallery containing movies and general art of the characters. Simply beating Arcade and Story mode with each character will unlock most of the artwork. Characters who were originally DLC for Encore will also unlock the stages included with their release.

Press Down, R1, Up, L1, Square, X at the local versus screen.

Complete Arcade mode with a specific character in your group to unlock their concept art.
