Note: These colors give Katana a faded blue look, making it look almost purple. If you prefer, you can switch around the values of the colors to give it the faded look of another color, such as red, green, or yellow. Katana is an Armored Core for those pilots who love close range combat and swords. The two chainguns on Katana's back are only recommended for those who have obtained the Enhanced Back Weapon Function of the OP-INTENSIFY Optional Part, so the other listed part (MWX-VM20/1) are for those who do not have that function and give you the ability to attack aerial opponents on the move without having to stop. The two chainguns also provide 600 total volleys of bullets to the dual chaingun's 75 volleys of bullets. The CLR-03-SEOLF hover legs provide the mobility required to move in close to your opponent and deliver the devastating slashes to claim victory, and the KEEP-ELIX Extension Part provides extra energy for a quick retreat, necessary for hit and run tactics. The most devastating attack this Armored Core can dish out requires the Enhanced Back Weapon Function and the Blade Wave Function of the OP-INTENSIFY Optional Part. The attack consists of moving in on your opponent while using your chainguns to whittle down your opponents armor points, and then slashing away at them with both the blade itself and the blade wave, and the Overboosting away to prevent the ability of a retaliation attack. The entire maneuver has the ability to strip your opponent of at least half of his or her armor points, leaving victory in your grasp.

Note: Kinematic is an excellent Armored Core for running circles around your opponents in the Arena and to evade almost all or their fire. The OP-INTENSIFY (provided it can enhance your booster power) allows you to keep the booster active throughout the entire battle, and the KEEP-ELIX will allow you to keep your energy level up out of the red zone. Kinematic uses the CBT-FLEET and MWB-MX/WAKE Boosters to great effect, and it is used for charging your opponent and then slide-strafing side to side around your opponent to keep him or her off balance. The PLS-SRA02 and the OP-LFCS++ keep your opponent locked on at virtually all times and allow you to keep your heavy trigger finger on the trigger all of the time as well. The two machine guns may seem like they are basic, simple, and pathetic weapons. However after about fifty consecutive hits, your opponent's AC will obtain an "Out Put Down", and allow you to gain a faster victory. The other two listed machine guns (MWG-MG/800 and CWG-MGL/150) allow for rapid fire machine guns and allow you to defeat your opponent even faster than before. Although it is only given a "Fair" rating, Kinematic can be a devastating force in the hands of a capable pilot, a devastating force that Mobius, or Nameless for that matter, cannot withstand. After some training, Kinematic can be a very reliable Consort in the Extra Arena, and even against your friends in the multi-player battles.

Note: An extremely well built AC converted from Armored Core 3. It is good for both missions that require tanks and arena fights. The KARASAWA gives good firepower and can be used as much as needed since tanks do not use a lot of energy. The grenades are great AC killers and of course do a lot of damage against targets such as the big flying MT in the Test New Technology mission. It moves slow, but overboosting in short bursts and the weapons themselves can make up for that. It has over 9000 AP and an overall rating of "Excellent".

Note: Even though this AC's head looks very ugly, it is one of the best in the game. Though the arm units may seem weak, they are great at tearing away any enemy's AP, especially when you use both arm units at the same time. This AC also has an arsenal of powerful missiles for long range combat. It is slightly slow because of the legs, but since all of the weapons are either solid or shell, you will have a lot of energy for fast combat and quick escapes. With a rating of "Great", this AC is recommended for any battle in the Arena and most missions. Also, it is greatly recommended that only very skilled pilots use this AC.

Be careful when you use OP-Intensify. Even though it gives above average abilities, your AC will take much more damage then if it did not have it equipped.

Note: This is a well-over suited AC for standard types. Since the booster that is already equipped is suited for long duration battles, the Outlaw is excellent for aerial attacks. When firing, move side to side while using the booster. You have an easier way of defeating your opponent. Outlaw's AP is between 8250 and 8950. You can either switch the left arm unit with two of the listed guns, or use the Moonlight.
