Hold forwards and tap A, at the start of a race, and when just about to be dropped off by the lift for a little boost.

First earn gold cups on courses 1 to 8. After you have opened up Silver Mountain, come in first to get a gold cup. After an ending sequences, Ninja Land will be unlocked.

At the main menu the one that says Start Lession/Option, carefully enter the following:

Press Down, Up on the analog, Down Up on the D-Pad, then Down C, Up C, L Button, R Button, Z Button, then Left on the D-Pad, Right C, Up on the analog joystick, B, Right on the D-Pad, Left C and then press Start.

A confirmation sound will sound when entered correctly.

Without using the code to get them, you can get the secret courses this way.

Quicksand Valley: Get gold cups in the first six courses.

Silver Mountain: Get a gold cup in Quicksand Valley.

Ninja Land: Get a gold cup in Silver Mountain.

The Special Boards are unlocked by doing various tasks. Special Board 1 is a star-shaped board, and is very fast, and easy to control. Special Board 2 is a feather-shaped board, and makes the player practically float in the air. Special Board 3 is a out-of-shape piece of ice, has average speed and terrible grip.

Get a gold cup in Ninja Land. You can then play as Shinobin, a ninja.
