Access Birdman in Everfrost Island
To open up the Birdman event for Everfrost Island, you must get a medal on all 3 Cannonball Tests.
Birdman star locations
Finding a Birdman star will allow access to the Birdman suit. The screen will turn white after the star is obtained. Note that the Rocket Belt is required to reach all of these locations except for Holiday Island.
- Holiday Island: Under the natural arch on the beach
- Cresent Island: In the hidden cove on the beach located between the airport and little village.
- Little States Island: Center of Central Park in New York.
- Ever-Frost Island: Deep inside the cave that feeds the smaller waterfall. Go to the end of the cave and change the viewpoint to look downward.
Get the Birdman
To warp to the Birdman stage, fly under the bridge on the first level. Grab the star and you'll be free as a bird. You can also become the birdman by flying to New York (on Little States Island) with the rocketbelt and touching the golden star in Central Park. In Everfrost Island use the rocket belt in the first test, look to your side and you will see waterfalls. Go to the right most waterfall and go to the cavern. Keep going until you see another waterfall, fly down and you will see the star that warps you to the birdman stage.
Hint: Cannonball settings
Use the following settings to reach a landing target on the first shot. Note that small adjustments must be made to get a 25 points rating on each shot. Recalibrate the cannon after every attempt. Trial and error must be used to land optimally for the shots that require less than full power

Hint: Driving the Gyrocopter
The Gyrocopter can be driven on the ground by landing anywhere after getting enough forward momentum in the air.. After landing, keep moving forward. Note that the Gyrocopter will become airborne again if its speed exceeds 40.
Hint: Gyrocopter super speed
You can fly faster than the normal 250 km/h top speed of the gyrocopter, closer to 350 or 400 km/h. Go to the Little States mission with Meca Hawk (any stage will work but this provides you with plenty of open space). Choose any desired pilot. Begin accelerating down the runway. As you take off, pull up and to the right and begin flying as tight of a level circle (around 200m altitude) as you can, keeping the Analog-stick pressed all the way over to the Right (or Left) with [Accelerate] held. Try to get to 250 km/h as fast as possible to use the least amount of fuel. If you continue turning a tight level circle with the [Accelerate] held, you will notice your speed will begin to surpass the 250 km/h mark. The longer you continue turning, the faster you will go. If timed correctly, you can fly in formation with the twin engine planes that you see flying around, or even try to shoot them down. [Screenshot 2]
Hint: Miami to Seattle warp
Fly inside the space shuttle hanger in Florida, fly towards the ceiling, then turn around and fly back out to emerge in Seattle. The trip may be reversed if desired.
Hint: New York to San Francisco warp
Enter the green office building near the start in New York. A Nintendo 64 logo will be inside the building. Fly through the building and exit in San Francisco. The trip may be reversed if desired.
Hint: Night time on Rocket Belt, Beginner Class
Enter the cave in front of the chapel on top of the hill. There should be water coming out of cave and a sewer grate deep inside. Fly to the sewer grate and the game will slow as a strange noise is heard. The cave will turn darker. Exit the cave to fly outside at night.
Hint: Nintendo 64 logo on flag
Use the Birdman on the snowy mountain stage and fly to the top of the highest mountain or a mountain near that. You may notice a tiny flag flapping in the wind near the top. Fly closer to see that the flag has a Nintendo 64 logo, which looks makes a nice snapshot for your photo album.
