The Black Evil has taken over Amazing Island and captured its natives, the Maboo tribe. Now it's up to you to defeat the Black Evil, take back the land, and return it to its rightful owners. To do so, you must use your imagination to create your own monster and enter it in a series of competitions involving timing, speed, and head-to-head battles. The victor receives magical orbs that hold the power of the island and the keys to returning peace and prosperity to Amazing Island.

Cheat Codes/Hints

Black Evil

After catching the Magma Ball, start spinning as fast as you can get without hitting the edge. Try to pause game play while the spin meter is in green. After that, resume the game and immediately press A. This should result in a red hit most of the time.

Bonus Cards

Use a link cable and download the mini-game to a Game Boy Advance. Play through the mini-game to unlock bonus Monster Cards in the main game.

Chests can be obtained from minigames containing various items

Silver chests contain all sort of items (patterns, eyes, voices & accessories)

Hint: Black Evil


After catching the Magma Ball, start spinning as fast as you can get without hitting the edge. Try to pause game play while the spin meter is in green. After that, resume the game and immediately press A. This should result in a red hit most of the time.

If you time the catch correctly, you will stay put and hurl the magma ball back at full power. Usually, the correct time to press A to do this is just before the magma ball touches the creature's outstretched arms.

Hint: Spin Road mini-game

You can use your fully-charged spin attack as a jump. When you reach the moving path floating in the lava, step onto the first moving panel, then "jump" over the pit. When you reach the highest point of the course, go down one floor and "jump" from the edge of the platform. Most monsters will be able to land on the ending from there.

Monster Creation Power

Collect the Vision Orb after completing Beginner Course. Power 1 will now be available in the Hall Of Life. This Power allows you to create a monster with the attributes you specify, without going through the interview process.

Paint mode


Get the third Vision Orb from the Advanced course to unlock Paint mode. This allows you to customize individual colors of body parts.

Piggy Games

First beat the final level. After the credits play your file and go to the second item shop. There will be a pig. Talk to it and it will ask a question. Say yes and all of the Mini Games will be Piggy themed. If you want to stop, simply go to the pig and say no.

Piggy mode


Inside the store near the second course, there is a black-spotted pig. If you talk to him, he will ask, "Oink?". If you answer "Yes", he will say,"Oiiiiiink!!!", and you will hear a noise. You are now in Piggy mode. Piggies will replace something in that particular game.
