When choosing the option of travel and then going to the market you can buy 1 fur at a time without the merchant taking any of your gold. Then when you have accumulated all the fur you want, sell the fur to the same merchant for the full price.

Easy money

Select the "Travel" option and go to the market. Purchaseone fur and the merchant will not charge you. After getting asmany furs as desired, sell it back to the merchant.
